Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about EuroPrime (EURP).

General

What is EuroPrime (EURP)?+
EuroPrime (EURP) is an ERC-20 payment token on Polygon PoS, pegged 1:1 to the Euro. Each EURP is backed by one Euro held in segregated reserves. It is designed exclusively as a digital means of payment, not as an investment or speculative asset.
Who can use EURP?+
EURP is available to users worldwide, excluding residents of the European Union, the United States, and jurisdictions where crypto-assets are prohibited or heavily restricted. KYC verification is required before transacting.
Is EURP a MiCA-compliant token?+
No. EURP is issued by an entity outside the EU and is not a MiCA-compliant e-money token (EMT). It does not benefit from the protections under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114. It is not legal tender and is not guaranteed by any central bank.

Buying & Selling

How do I buy EURP?+
Connect your Polygon-compatible wallet (e.g. MetaMask) on eurp.digital, enter the EUR amount you wish to convert, and complete the payment. EURP is credited to your wallet. The conversion from EUR to EURP is free of charge.
What is the fee for selling EURP?+
Redeeming EURP back to Euro incurs a 1% fee on the amount sold. For example, selling 1,000 EURP returns 990 EUR (10 EUR fee deducted).
How long does it take to receive EUR after selling EURP?+
Settlement times depend on the payment provider and banking infrastructure. The platform operates 24/7. Typical processing times will be published in the platform SLA documentation.
Can I buy EURP with crypto instead of EUR?+
You can acquire EURP by trading other cryptocurrencies on decentralised exchanges (DEX) that list EURP/crypto pairs, such as Uniswap on Polygon.

Wallet & Technical

Which wallet do I need?+
You need a Polygon-compatible wallet such as MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet or any WalletConnect-compatible wallet. Make sure you are connected to the Polygon network (Chain ID 137).
How do I add EURP to MetaMask?+
Open MetaMask → select Polygon network → Tokens tab → Import tokens → paste the contract address: 0x117D3944465d9BBad89F1Fa89Fd8838Eb0Ea3Cd1. The symbol (EURP) and decimals (18) will auto-fill.
What network does EURP run on?+
EURP runs on Polygon PoS (Chain ID 137). Always ensure your wallet is set to Polygon before transacting. Do not send EURP to Ethereum mainnet addresses.
Do I need POL (MATIC) to transact?+
Yes. A small amount of POL (the native Polygon gas token) is required to pay transaction fees on the Polygon network. Fees are typically less than $0.01 per transaction.

Reserves & Security

How are reserves managed?+
Every EURP in circulation is backed 1:1 by Euro held in segregated reserves. Reserves consist of cash, demand deposits or highly liquid, low-risk instruments. Periodic independent attestations are published to verify the backing.
What happens if I cannot redeem my EURP?+
Redemption may be temporarily suspended in cases of force majeure or regulatory authority requests. This will be communicated transparently. The terms and conditions detail all scenarios.
Has the smart contract been audited?+
A smart contract audit is planned as part of the project roadmap. The contract source code is publicly verified on Polygonscan for transparency.
What are the main risks?+
Key risks include: reserve risk (dependency on operator solvency), regulatory risk (potential future restrictions), technology risk (smart contract bugs, key compromise), and market risk (DEX liquidity, temporary peg deviations). Full risk disclosure is in the White Paper.
